The rules and details of UWA's Three Minute Thesis Competition will be described, and guidance will be given on how to present a talk suitable for this event. Doctoral and Masters Researchers, ECRs and academics within 7 years of PhD completion are eligible to compete.

12:30 - EVENT - TMS and Movement Disorders by Professor Chen : Dr. Robert Chen is Professor of Medicine (Neurology) at the University of Toronto, the Catherine Manson Chair in Movement Disorders, Senior Scientist at the Toronto Western Research Institute and the Director of the Eliot Phillipson Clinician Scientist Training Program at the University of Toronto. His research interests are human motor physiology, brain plasticity and pathophysiology of movement disorders such as dystonia and Parkinson’s disease. He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed research papers and two books. He is a member of the Editorial Boards of CJNS, Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, Muscle & Nerve, and a reviewing editor of PLOS ONE, Frontiers in Neuroscience and Neural Plasticity. He was recently appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences.
