This workshop looks at the various types of cover letters, how to structure your letter, the format used, as well as how to research the position you are applying. Learn how to weave information you know about the organisation into your letter effectively and how to utilise a skills inventory to outline your skills and abilities.

The UWA School of Music Tuesday Seminar series runs every week in the Tunley Lecture Theatre (G5) at 5.00 pm. The series mixes visiting lecturers and presenters with presentations by the School's own research students at Honours, Masters and Doctor level. The focus and topic of presentations represents a flexible and attractive mix of conference-style papers, lecture-recitals and more informal sessions. The series makes a significant contribution to the musical and academic output of the School, as well as to the sense of community shared by staff and students alike.

The application process for the 2014 Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme will be opening soon.

The Programme seeks to enhance internationalisation in Japan by promoting mutual understanding between the people of Japan and those of other nations. It aims to enhance foreign language education and promote international exchange at the local level through the fostering of ties between Japanese youth and foreign youth alike. The objectives of the Programme are achieved by offering participants the opportunity to serve in local authorities as well as public and private primary, junior high and senior high schools.

A committee member of the JET Alumni Association of WA and staff from the Consulate-General of Japan in Perth will be at this seminar to answer your questions.
