SEMINAR: Research Data Management: Stay local and be Global

Hilary Hanahoe has been Secretary General of the Research Data Alliance (RDA) since 2018. The Research Data Alliance (RDA) is a global, consensus-based, community-driven organisation of over 13,000 individuals, 75 organisational members and more than 35 regional networks from 148 countries, whose mission is to provide a platform to drive innovation surrounding data sharing and interoperability.

In this talk, Hilary will discuss open science, research data management and FAIR from a global perspective, and the benefits of each for UWA scientists, researchers and librarians, illustrated with some concrete examples developed by the global RDA community.
