ARIA award-winning composer James Ledger facilitates the final instalment of our West Australian Opera Artists in Conversation series for 2022, interviewing composer and co-librettist Emma Jayakumar about her new opera OUR LITTLE INVENTOR.

This world premiere work, inspired by the beautiful children's book by Sher Rill Ng, tells the tale of a gutsy young girl with a genius invention. Get your first glimpse into Nell's universe, brought from the page to the stage with endless melodic innovation, in an enlightening discussion you won't want to miss.

Take a seat in the comfort of Callaway Auditorium, gather all your burning questions, and dive deep behind the scenes with the woman bringing this empowering story to life.
