This online collaborative event, jointly organised by Engineers Australia (WA Division) and the UWA Public Policy Institute, will bring together engineering professionals and researchers to explore the challenges presented by climate change and the likely impacts on engineering standards, training and policy.
Professor Anas Ghadouani will explain both short- and long-term projected climate conditions for Western Australia, followed by further examination by our panel of experts on the challenges of climate change on the lifespan of engineering projects. The parallels with other professions and disciplines will be explored, as well as what engineers can do to ensure that their skills and purpose remain relevant to climate change-driven problems.
