The aim of this course is to introduce you to basic statistics. It will
cover descriptive statistics (means and standard deviations);  data
exploration; basic categorical data analysis; simple linear regression
and basic analysis of variance (ANOVA). The statistical package SPSS
will be used to illustrate the ideas demonstrated. The course will be
held in a computer laboratory allowing participants to immediately apply
the material covered through a series of practical examples.
