|
|
This workshop outlines the current versions of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, the Australian code for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes and the regulatory environment for working with Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). Included are the regulations around technologies and biological organisms that are deemed to have potential for military application, that is ‘dual-use’; and the effect of the government’s Autonomous Sanctions regulation on research training. Mini-case studies illustrate the principles.
