SEMINAR: CMCA Seminar: Mechanobiology meets Immunology - Mechanical forces during T-cell activation - The understanding of antigen recognition and the following gene regulation may lead to better designs of immune-modulating therapeutics and vaccines. Tue, 14 Mar 2017 13:00 - Seminar Room 272, Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, Verdun Street, Nedlands Enrico Klotzsch, Head , Immuno-Kechanobiology Group, University of NSW Modern molecular biology, with its emphasis on analysis of entire genomes, has provided a 'parts list' of cellular proteins as well as an enumeration of many of their associations, including receptor and ligand interactions. Missing from the molecular biological approaches, however, is an analysis of how mechanical forces affect the function of cells and protein complexes.
