Title: Linear codes from matrices: twisted centralizer codes
Abstract: A linear code is a subspace of a finite vector space. These are the codes most commonly used in error-correcting applications to digital communication and storage. I will report on new classes of linear codes we construct using matrices.
I will focus on the dimension and minimal distance of the special case of "twisted centralizer codes". Prior knowledge of codes is not a prerequisite.
