The Doctor of Musical Arts in performance involves a combination of thesis and creative work.
In this, his second recital, DMA Candidate Philip Murray, will present Music for Flute by 20th Century French and Japanese composers.
The program will include:
Claude Debussy/K. Lenski – “Bilitis” (Six epigraphes antiques, version for flute and piano), Toru Takemitsu – Voice for solo flute, Olivier Messiaen – Le merle noir for flute and piano, Joji Yuasa – Domain for solo flute, Kazuo Fukushima – Kadha Karuna for flute and piano, André Jolivet – Sonata for flute and piano and Toshi Ichiyanagi – In a Living Memory for solo flute.
Featuring guest artist, Bradley Gilchrist – Piano
Free entry - all welcome!
