The incidence of armed conflict, forced displacement and natural disasters is increasing, with tremendous impacts for local communities.

There are concerning consequences of trauma for mental and physical health, community cohesion and economic stability, yet growing evidence suggests that humans are incredibly resilient in times of adversity.

Innovative research currently being conducted at UWA that investigates how communities cope with complex emergencies will be highlighted in a panel discussion
