WORKSHOP: WINTERarts Children's Workshop: Nature Under the Microscope

WINTERarts Children's Workshop: Nature Under the Microscope : What makes a butterfly’s wings special? And what are seashells made of? Your kids can see for themselves and get excited about science in this fun workshop (REPEAT) Other events...
Viewing the natural world under a microscope is a never-ending source of fascination for children and adults alike. In this workshop, your kids will learn to use a microscope to examine and share their finds with other children.

Participants will collect material from the UWA garden to examine under a microscope, and butterfly wings, minerals and seashells will be available to view. All participants will also get to examine an amethyst crystal that they can take home to keep.

Suitable for ages 7-10. Cost $10.

Presented as part of the UWA Cultural Precinct's WINTERarts season.
