PERFORMANCE: School of Music presents - Music for Winds and Voice
Building on the specular concerts in the past two years, the UWA School of Music students again join with St Mary’s Cathedral for a night of mystery, majesty and divine music.
The program includes Samuel Barber’s deeply reflective Agnus Dei (originally the Adagio for Strings used as the soundtrack for Platoon and Lorenzo’s Oil), Mozart’s little known Waisenhausmesse (Little orphan’s Mass) re-scored by UWA composers for winds, percussion, chorus and soloists, and a collection of gems for wind, brass, organ and St Mary’s Cathedral Choir. For a night music to delight the senses as well as deep reflection and joy, do join us on Thursday 27 October @ 7.30pm.
Standard $25
