China-Pakistan Economic Corridor: A Game Changer in the Region? Other events...
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is viewed as part of Chinese efforts to revive the Silk Road network across South and West Asian region. The project, with a projected cost of $46 billion, has been identified as a significant development in China’s relationship with Pakistan through its infrastructure development, especially Gwadar Port in Balochistan. The corridor, once operational, will provide China direct access to the Indian ocean region and will shape its presence in the Middle East. How will these developments affect the mineral rich province of Balochistan, the home of Gwadar Port? What are the responses to the idea in Pakistan? Balochistan government’s spokesperson, Hon. Mr Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, will shed light on these and other developments of regional and global significance.
Speaker(s) Hon Mr. Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, the spokesperson of the Government of Balochistan
