The seminar series is aimed at Postgraduates in Statistics and allied fields, as well as at anyone interested in statistics. In this session we will continue with means and variances of standard distributions (binomial, geometric, Poisson), functions of random variables, Multivariate distributions.
Future topics: Mixture models, Exponential family distributions, time series, EM algorithm, Bayesian networks, stochastic geometry, statistical modelling, random forests, MCMC, geo-statistics, spatial statistics.
