The night will feature fine food and wines, live musical entertainment, Blake Williams (Mix 94.5) as the MC and a silent auction.
To attend please visit https://uwahomewardbound.wordpress.com/home/events/cocktail-reception/ and following the prompts, select Cocktail Reception; the cost is $100. You will be emailed confirmation and a nametag at the door will be your entry, no ticket is required.
Homeward Bound is a world class leadership and strategy program for 78 women scientists selected from around the world. The program is run as an expedition to Antarctica, where climate change is used as an example of a problem that women can help to solve. The aim of the Program is to increase the proportion of women in the higher levels of science, through skills, network and action. Four women scientists from UWA have been selected to participate: further details at https://chuffed.org/project/homeward-bound-empowering-women-for-a-more-sustainable-future.
A program of the calibre of Homeward Bound is costly. Considerable in kind support has been donated from a range of organisations, leaving $25,000 to be raised by each participant. With the support of UWA, including a considerable contribution from the UWA Faculty of Science, the UWA Homeward Bound team have already raised over half of the funds required. This reception is a major event to help reach the fundraising goal.
Your support of our fundraising event is very much appreciated. Please do not hesitate to contact us by email if you have any queries.
