A public lecture by Christopher Browning, Frank Porter Graham Professor of History Emeritus, University of North Carolina.
This lecture will examine three issues: the problems involved in using survivor testimony as the sole or primary source to write on otherwise undocumented aspects of Holocaust history, the understudied phenomenon of the factory slave labour camp in Nazi-occupied Europe, and the survival strategies of Jewish slave labourers interned in such camps.
This lecture is presented by the Institute of Advanced Studies and the Holocaust Institute of Western Australia Inc.
