Approaches to Sexuality and Gender Diversity : UWA Research on National and International Perspectives Other events...
How are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people (LGBT) represented in the press, social media, popular culture, and politics? How do these depictions influence, mirror, or misrepresent the way LGBT people perceive themselves and articulate their identities? And what health implications do (mis)representations have for LGBT people?

Coinciding with WA PrideFest, this evening of short talks will showcase some of the exciting LGBT research conducted at UWA. The first two talks will focus on representations and identities abroad, while the final two will explore youth mental well-being and resilience in Australia.

When: 10 Nov, 6pm-7.30pm. Refreshments will be served from 7.30pm.

This event is co-sponsored by UWA's Office of Equity and Diversity and the Institute of Advanced Studies.

Attendance is free but RSVP is requested via the webpage below.
