The Story of Lustre: Shedding light on how a community-based exhibition evolved : A UWA Research Week Event Other events...
A presentation by exhibition curators Maya Shioji and Bart Pigram, Nyamba Buru Yawuru (Broome) and the WA Museum, with an introduction by Dr Sven Ouzman, Centre for Rock Art Management, UWA.

'Lustre' is a story told from the inside to an outside world. As such, its curation has been complex and we are privileged to be able to hear directly from the curatorial team, who will discuss their interpretive approach to presenting these entwined stories of the pearling history of the northern coast of Western Australia.

After the presentation, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition with the curatorial team and Corioli Souter, Archaeologist and Curator, Maritime Archaeology, WA Museum.

This is a UWA Research Week event, presented in association with Nyamba Buru Yawuru Ltd, Western Australian Museum and UWA Institute of Advanced Studies.
