The report contains ground-breaking research on the social return on education and training in the Australian Not-for-Profit sector. It is applied research that addresses the issue of workforce development and key competencies required for social change in the Not-for-Profit sector. What effect do human resource development practices and policies have on the performance of Not-for-Profit organisations? What are the barriers and enablers for Not-for-Profit employees to undertake training? And where to next in developing the NFP workforce?
The event marks a milestone in what has been a three-year collaborative research effort with the Origin Foundation and the Australian Scholarships Foundation. You will be presented with evidence that relates to hundreds of Australian Not-for-Profit organisations and their employees and volunteers, and asked to provide your input for the next stage of this major national research program and on the future of Not-for-Profit workforce development.
