Professor Eric Stover is an eminent human rights researcher and advocate. He is Faculty Director of the Human Rights Centre and Professor of Law and Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley. For the past thirty two years he has focused his professional work on the investigation of war crimes and human rights abuses in over a dozen countries. In this talk he addresses the complexities of dealing with the aftermath of these crimes and harms. He is the author of numerous booking including Witnesses from the Grave, The Stories Bones tell, with Christopher Joyce. Editor of The Breaking of Bodies and Minds, Torture, Psychiatric Abuse and the Health Professions, with Elena O. Nightingale. Other works include The Guantanamo Effect, Exposing the Consequences of U.S. Detention and Interrogation Practices, with Laurel E. Fletcher and The Witnesses War Crimes and the Promise of Justice in The Hague.
