LUNCH: Education is Overcoming Entrenched Disadvantage
Anne Hampshire and Annie Fogarty AM will be speaking at the Lunch and joined by Jo Ferrie of Woodside in a panel discussion
Anne Hampshire is the Head of Research and Advocacy at The Smith Family and has a background in education, research, social policy and service innovation. The Smith Family's mission is to create opportunities for young Australians in need by providing long-term support for their participation in education.
Annie Fogarty AM and her husband Brett established the Fogarty Foundation in 2000 to provide educational opportunities to help develop Western Australia as a smart state and build stronger communities. Annie was appointed an inaugural Ambassador for Children and Young People and was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2013 for her work in the advancement of education in Western Australia. The Fogarty Foundation believes that every child requires a quality education.
Jo Ferrie is the Social Investment Manager at Woodside Energy and has worked in public and community affairs across the government and private sectors for the past 20 years.
Jo manages Woodside's multi-million dollar social contribution program, including the recently launched Woodside Development Fund, a collaborative approach to creating early childhood development outcomes.
