PUBLIC TALK: New Views of the Interior Ocean

In this public lecture, Dr Jeffrey Book of the US Naval Research Laboratory and 2015 UWA Institute of Advanced Studies Distinguished Visiting Fellow will discuss emerging research in Seismic Oceanography, which has the potential to help close the gap in observing small variability in horizontal scales and is providing compelling images of the ocean's interior structure. Dr Book will discuss two recent dedicated seismic oceanography field experiments undertaken in two very different strong frontal regions.
