| Economics Research Seminar : Pikettys Second Fundamental Law of Capitalist Economics and the Dynamics of the W-Y and s-g Ratios in Britain, 1210-2013 |

This paper constructs annual data for the aggregate wealth-income ratio, W-Y, and the savings-growth ratio, s-g, for Britain 1210-2013. The data are used to test one of Pikettys central hypotheses that the W-Y ratio is governed by the s-g ratios in the long run, while
accounting for major events such as epidemics, globalization waves, structural changes, monetary shocks, as well as institutional, structural, and cultural transitions.
