Join writer and academic Dr Shevaun Cooley as she presents ‘You must change your life’, a discussion of the intersection of art and poetry, and what happens when those works carry with them the whiff of death. The lecture will include an exploration of mortality and the ephemeral in the Memento Mori exhibition.
Dr Shevaun Cooley is a Western Australian poet and academic. Her work has appeared in Southerly, Meanjin, Cordite and The Best Australian Poems (2009). Most recently, her poem ‘Soundings’ was shortlisted for the University of Canberra’s inaugural Vice Chancellor’s International Poetry Prize.
