Film Screening with Q&A: The Coolbaroo Club

Award winning researcher and writer Stephen Kinnane who co-wrote and produced The Coolbaroo Club (1996), an ABC TV documentary, will introduce the film and take questions following the screening.

This documentary is a portrait of the Coolbaroo Club, an Aboriginal-run dance club which operated in Perth from 1946 - 1960.

The screening forms part of the public program events for the exhibition Wildflower Dreaming: Shirley Corunna and the Coolbaroo League 1952-1962, currently on at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery.
