Dr Janice Lam’s postgraduate research focused on understanding the cellular mechanism of ErbB receptors and development of possible therapeutic interventions for those diseases. ErbBs were linked to both human neurogenesis and cancer pathogenesis. Awarded at the Gordon Research Conference for the work done on identifying a novel mediator through combining bioinformatics and molecular analysis, unearthed a link behind three schizophrenia risk genes under one signalling cascade.
