Teaching and Learning Week Other events...
Theme for 2014: Education Futures

Teaching and Learning Week is all about discovering, discussing, pursuing, celebrating and valuing excellence in teaching and learning. From showcasing innovative approaches and methods to focusing on the finer points of tested-by-time pedagogical tools.

Teaching and Learning Week encourages UWA staff and students to get thinking about and, most importantly, get talking about teaching and learning issues, ideas and practices and the student learning experience.

Monday 2 June, 3.30pm-5.30pm - First steps towards Our Vision for Education Futures - Bringing a Vision to reality can be daunting, however all changes start with small first steps. This is an interactive session for Faculty and School based leaders of Teaching and Learning and those who support change. Its aim is to identify opportunities within exisitng routines, processes and structures where practice can be tweaked towards Transformative teaching, particularly in large First Year classes and Post Graduate Coursework courses. Examples of such small steps will be shared with participants. Presented by Professor Helen Wildy Project Director for UWA Futures Vision, and Dean of the Faculty of Education.
