WORKSHOP: Make Your Own flipped classroom design
|
|
These repeat workshops follows on from the seminars on blended learning and flipped classroom.
They are open to any participants who have a basic familiarity with the flipped classroom concept, – whether or not the workshop has been attended in the past. It is expected that participants have attended the flipped classroom seminar, viewed the lecture capture recording, or can demonstrate prior knowledge.
The aim is to provide participants with support on specific units or teaching modules. Bring a unit that you wish to develop, lesson aims for a week's worth of classes to use as your model in redesigning in-class activity, and learning material for a week for redesigning online learning activity.
We are aware that UWA staff have differing needs, and will contact you to ascertain if you:
Already have an idea and are looking for specific support (eg active classroom tasks, using the LMS for the online component, participatory and engaged online activity)
Would like a more beginner’s step-by-step design workshop
Would like to discuss more about flipped classrooms, benefits and issues, concepts, and examples.
From this, we will schedule and organise the session to accommodate relevant needs. The objective is that you are supported in getting ready to teach using a flipped classroom approach.
