WaterAid's Walk 4 Water : 10,000 steps challenge to raise money for WaterAid Other events...
WaterAid is calling on Australians to join its annual fundraiser Walk 4 Water this March.

The 10,000 steps challenge will remind participants of the daily journey that people – primarily women and children - in developing countries undertake to collect water every day.

Walk 4 Water encourages participants to walk 10,000 steps a day for five days. Get your University involved. You can register as a team or individual. Walk as a group or simply build it into your daily routine. Once signed-up, you’ll receive a pedometer to count your steps.

Walkers are each challenged to raise $200 and start a conversation to raise awareness for the 768 million people living without access to safe water. The funds raised will allow WaterAid to transform lives in the world’s poorest communities, including Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste.

WaterAid’s Walk 4 Water will officially be held 17 – 21 March to coincide with World Water Day Saturday 22 March. For more information or to register please visit: www.walk4water.com.au Watch the YouTube video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuCoUqiwlUs
