TALK: Superannuation for Women
|
|
Guest speaker Pauline is a Finance and Economics Adviser who is committed to helping women to better understand and manage their finances. After receiving her Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning in 2008, Pauline has worked in financial literacy and education. In her previous role in government she developed online financial information to help businesses understand and access finance, including a business loan finder and workshops for women entrepreneurs. Pauline has given a significant number of presentations to members of superannuation funds, special interest and community groups on strategies to address the gender gap in superannuation. She has also prepared and delivered workshops, webinars and facilitated discussion groups on topics relevant to finance and investment as well as designing workshops for business operators and associated online financial education.
Surveys consistently demonstrate that the level of retirement savings of women tend to be significantly lower than men due to different working patterns, family responsibilities and relationship breakdowns.
This session is suitable for women of all ages who would like to:
• develop a better understanding of financial matters
• adopt a more active approach in managing their retirement savings.
As it is Breast Cancer awareness month, Unisuper will be awarding two floor prizes on the day, a percentage of which will go to the Cancer Council. There will also be Pink Ribbon Merchandise to purchase on the day if you wish to support this worthy cause.
Light refreshments will be provided and there is a chance for prizes to be won!
