UCC Electronics Hackathon Other events...
The UCC is hosting a day/night of electronic tinkering, engineering, and hacking!

This sort of night is usually a combination of crazy projects that people want to work on, tutorials from people in the know, and electronics/software projects related to UCC.

Andrew Adamson is planning to bring in a heap of stuff from his work like PLC's, steppers, CNC boards, safety relays, contactors, etc., and do some demos. He is also willing to give people a crash course in PCB design using eagle cad (if the interest is there). We might be able to whip up a board for the door reed switches or something. Again, if people want, we can run a quick "how to solder and hot air solder" tutorial.

Meanwhile other things like arduino tinkering, machine room lighting additions, coke machine buttons, coke machine lights, WHATEVER else people want to do will be occurring. Bring in your project from home! Now is the time to start ordering any parts and components you think you'll need, or suggest parts and tools for the club to get. The organisers will make sure that all the tools are set up and available, with project space too.
