Professor Daniel Galv„o is a Research scientist in exercise oncology and the Director of the Edith Cowan University Health and Wellness Institute, Perth, Western Australia. His work has facilitated the use of exercise as an important strategy to mitigate treatment side effects and improve quality of life in cancer survivors. His publication highlights include lead authorship in the prestigious Journal of Clinical Oncology and co-authorship in the influential Position Statement in Exercise Oncology by the American College of Sports Medicine and Exercise and Sports Science Australia. He has been the recipient of national competitive project grants as a chief investigator from the National and Health Medical Research Council, Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and Cancer Australia.
