WORKSHOP: Roots of complex numbers

Roots of complex numbers : MathsSmart, Student Services Other events...
A step-by-step guide to finding all roots of real and complex numbers. We will cover some examples and discuss the patterns which emerge. Note: it will be useful to have a good understanding of polar form, the complex plane, de Moivre's Theorem and the trigonometric ratios for standard 1st quadrant angles. Recommended for MATH1712 and higher level MATH students wishing to revise this topic.
