Laplace transforms, Heaviside function : MathsSmart, Student Services Other events...
Discusses how Laplace transforms can be used to solve differential equations. We will justify the definition of a Laplace transform and discuss a few examples before applying it to a differential equation. We will also use the Heaviside function to convert composite functions into a single function which can then be Laplace transformed. Note: it will be useful to have a good understanding of integration by partial fractions. Recommended for first year and higher level MATH students wishing to revise this topic
