Join Joanna in exploring the visual representations of war and trauma in South and North Korean arts of the Cold War period, in a talk on Friday 7 June at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery.
Joanna's presentation will examine how visual arts have been used in both countries to create public, state-approved memories of the so-called ‘Forgotten War’ as well as counter-memories that seek to overcome and subvert such ‘politics of remembering’.
