Rally in Murray Street Mall to commemorate the 65th anniversary of Al Nakba or 'the catastrophe', the day in 1948 when more than 780,000 Palestinians were systematically ethnically cleansed from their homeland. These refugees and their families, who languish in refugee camps and now number around 7 million, are to this day denied the right to return to Palestine. Israel is an apartheid state which marginalises Palestinians, bombs their schools and hospitals, and steals their land and resources. Stand in solidarity with Palestine on Friday the 17th, and protest the crimes committed against the Palestinians.
