Introduction to management : This workshop is intended for academic, technical and administrative staff who are new to management or supervision. It is also intended for staff who manage teams or who are interested in the program as a career development opportunity. This workshop is also intended for experienced managers and supervisors, whether they have little or no formal training or those with formal training who would like to update and enhance their skills. |

The course will examine the role and responsibilities of first line managers/team leaders; assist you to more effectively organise yourself and others; help you to develop effective communication skills; and explore the factors necessary for the provision of effective performance feedback and problem solving.To achieve the intended learning outcomes, it is important that you attend all six sessions. Please do not apply for this workshop unless you can attend all sessions. The session dates and times are listed below.
