Professor Ghate will give an overview of his book, The Oxford Handbook
of the Indian Economy, and Indian reforms.  He will discuss India’s
remarkable economic growth and key debates confronting the Indian
economy ranging from the development displacement debate, inequality,
the demographic transition, employment and employability, social
mobility and the growth-environment debate.
