EVENT: Briefing for About Face

Are you up for a life changing experience?

A unique opportunity to live among an Aboriginal community, which could be anywhere in Australia. The next About FACE is coming up in early 2012! To be exact January 7-27.

This event on Sept 22 is an introductory meeting that will acquaint you with details. Deadline for submissions is Sept 30.

In About FACE you are supported through a unique opportunity to live alongside Aboriginal communities connected to Congress (the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress) around Australia, to make life long friends, to do some faith-centred soul-searching and have some serious fun.

A three week Faith And Cultural Exchange program, About FACE involves time for briefing/preparation before you go, the time living in community and time for debriefing after wards.

The program encourages an ‘about face’ in the attitudes and lifestyles of participants, with the aim that your experience will be shared with your congregations (if you have one)and your communities (everyone has some of those).
