Conversations on Service Learning Other events...
The University service learning working party defines “service learning” as an activity that combines community service with educational processes and objectives so that the service is beneficial to both the recipient and the provider. Service learning also differs from community service, internships, professional practicum and work placements, in that it integrates participation in a real-world service experience with guided curriculum-embedded reflection on the civic ethos of that experience. In this panel session members will share their stories of service learning that is already happening at UWA, and discuss the benefits to students and others.
