Have you got the look? Facial attractiveness and gaze perception : Face perception |

We gain a lot of different information from faces, even when they are unfamiliar to us. For example, we can almost instantly determine the gender or emotional expression of a face, evaluate how attractive we find it, and decide whether or not that person is looking at us.
Although most of these different facial aspects seem to be independent of each other, earlier research suggests that at least some of them interact. Following this line of research, the talk focuses on a potential interaction of attractiveness and gaze perception, examining the question of whether we are more likely to perceive attractive faces as looking at us.
