What do sex, a presidential candidate, Pauline Hanson, Karl Marx and bastards have in common?
More than you might think. But in this case, they're all related to a small party that you can question in the UWA Politics Club's latest event: Small Parties: Their Place, Influence and Future
They may be small parties, but this event will be anything but a small party (get it?). Join us for a Q&A session, and pose the questions, query the representatives and find out a bit more about these small parties.
All the representatives sitting on the panel come from parties that do not have a member in the WA Parliament. But that could all change.
Do these parties have a valid role in our political system? Can these parties help build a better Australia? Or are they just, in the words of Julia Gillard, protest parties that do not share the values of everyday Australians? Come along to find out.
The Panel:
The Australian Sex Party
Citizens Electoral Council
One Nation
The Socialist Alliance
The Australian Democrats
WHERE: Law Lecture Theatre [second floor of the Law School]
WHEN: 1-2pm Tuesday Week 10 [10th May in common lunch hour]
HOW MUCH: Free!
