The International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) is offering WA secondary school students the chance to take part in a wide range of hands-on activities that will be interactive, fun and very rewarding.

Students will have the opportunity to*: • Observe a sun spot through a solar telescope • Use a working radio telescope • Hear about work at the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research • Learn about the world’s largest radio telescope, the SKA, that might be built in WA • Solve a space mystery using real radio astronomy data!

* Activities and program are subject to change but will remain within the confines of astronomy and astrophysics.

Morning tea will be provided on the day. Students are invited to bring their own lunch or buy it from one of the university cafés.

Please contact Alison Chan at [email protected] to receive an application form. Please note, places are limited and you must submit an aplication to attend.
