WORKSHOP: Functions & Graphs

This workshop aims to explain the notion of a plot as a graphical representation of a mathematical or experimental relationship. We introduce different types of graphs and their interesting features. Both the Number Skills Workshop and the Basic Algebra Workshop act as prerequisites. Each student will be given a set of worksheets to complete. Topics include: The Cartesian plane, ordered pairs, linear functions, reciprocal functions, exponential functions, polynomials, noteworthy features of a plot.
