VISITING SPEAKER: Solo Ocean Rower Roz Savage

Roz Savage, environmental campaigner and solo ocean rower, last year became the first woman to row solo across the Pacific. Coupled with her solo row across the Atlantic in 2005-6, she has rowed over 11,000 miles. From Perth she will embark on her greatest challenge, that of rowing solo from Fremantle to Mumbai, some 5,000 nautical miles. She will present a multi-media presentation followed by questions and answers on Thursday, March 10th at 5.30pm at the UWA Boat Shed, Hackett Drive, Crawley. Suggested donation: $10
