Guest Speaker Kate Cullity, Director Taylor Cullity Lethlean, will present a seminar entitled “Telling Stories: Inspiration from Australian Art and Landscape”.
Over a 20 year period the Landscape Architectural practice Taylor Cullity Lethlean have undertaken an investigation into the poetic expression of the Australian landscape and contemporary culture. Kate will discuss her and the firm’s design inspiration from Australian art and elemental landscape and illustrate this with examples of projects including desert walking trails, art and garden festival installations and Botanic Gardens. In each case the detailed exploration of context, history, site and community have informed outcomes and enriched the patterning and detail of built landscapes.
All welcome. Cost $50. See web link to RSVP by 22 March 2011
