Sanam Mustafa obtained an M.Sci. (Honours) in Genetics with Industrial Placement in 2004 from the University of Glasgow and completed her PhD, also at the University of Glasgow, in one of the world’s leading G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) laboratories under the supervision of Prof Graeme Milligan (Fellow of Royal Society) and Dr Alan Wise (GlaxoSmithKline). She then went on to carry out postdoctoral work in collaboration with the pharmaceutical company, Almirall. Sanam joined Kevin Pfleger’s group in November 2009.
Sanam’s seminar will focus on the work carried out during her PhD.
