SymbioticA Friday Seminar > Speaker: Carmel Wallace; Title: Visualising Adaptation: Surface and Beyond; Time & Location: 3:30 - 5pm @ SymbioticA; This week, current SymbioticA resident Carmel Wallace will talk about the her residency within the Adaptation project, as well as discussing other work she has undertaken this year.

Carmel’s Adaptation residency will involve exploring in microscopic detail, the internal structure of a thrombolite and its surface, including the community of organisms inhabiting its surface and using this within her own process of screen printing using water collected from the Lake.

Carmel Wallace is a practicing artist working across installation, printmaking and assemblage. Her art practice focuses on the advantages of multi-disciplinary exploration of place and its ramifications for environmental awareness and ethics.
