WORKSHOP: Mathematics in the Spotlight: A forum for educators
|Mathematics in the Spotlight: A forum for educators : The Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics are hosting a forum to focus on issues surrounding Mathematics education.
The forum will provide the opportunity for early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary educators, university researchers and education system and sector colleagues to meet and discuss the issues surrounding mathematics education.
A series of round table discussions will explore the following themes:
Enhancing mathematical understanding: learning, studying, teaching
Identifying mathematical opportunities: pathways, professions, practice
Nurturing mathematical talent: stimulating, engaging, retaining
The forum will be opened by the Minister for Education, Hon. Dr Elizabeth Constable MLA.
Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor Winthrop Professor Bill Louden will introduce Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alan Robson AM CitWA who will welcome all guests.
Cost is AUD$130 (ex GST).
